SATENA, the airline of Colombians, was recognized by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, with the Fair Payment Seal, for guaranteeing payment to its suppliers in a maximum of 45 calendar days, in compliance with Law 2024 of 2020, Decree 1074 of 2015 and the resolutions associated with this initiative. This legislation seeks to ensure that public and private companies in Colombia respect fair payment terms, avoiding delays that may affect the liquidity and stability of businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (Mipymes), whose sustainability depends on this income.
The recognition positions SATENA as the only airline in the country that complies with this standard, joining a select group of companies that promote more equitable and sustainable commercial relations. In an environment where timely payment is key to the stability of the business fabric, this distinction highlights its role in strengthening the productive sector.
Major General Óscar Zuluaga Castaño, president of SATENA, highlighted the importance of this recognition and reaffirmed the airline's commitment to best business practices: “At SATENA we understand that the financial sustainability of our suppliers is key to the economic development of the country. This recognition reflects our corporate responsibility and the effort to guarantee timely payments, generating confidence and strengthening the national productive fabric”.
Beyond its impact on the airline industry, this achievement ratifies SATENA as a key player in the promotion of responsible business practices. Its commitment to transparency and compliance contributes both to the country's air connectivity and to the economic development of the companies that are part of its value chain.
With this distinction, SATENA reaffirms its role in building a stronger business environment, promoting a culture of compliance that boosts the national economy.
