SATENA, the airline that has been a member of Colombia for 58 years, is allowed to inform the public, regarding an anonymous message regarding the development of flight 8707 between Inírida and Villavicencio, the following:

1. The safety of its passengers and that of its crews is a priority for SATENA, which is why, in compliance with the provisions of the National Government, it has taken prevention measures and management protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our aircraft through the national territory.

2. It is not true that an identified and symptomatic user with COVID-19 traveled on flight 8707, which covered the Inírida - Villavicencio route. It is a priority for the airline to ask each passenger a series of control and screening questions in compliance with the restriction measures ordered by the National Government at the head of the President of the Republic.

3. SATENA calls for calm and sanity in these times of national and global contingency, inviting both users and the community in general to follow self-care and hygiene measures to prevent the spread of the COVID virus- 19.

4. Likewise, the SATENA airline asks all its users to report responsibly if they have any of the symptoms that may be associated with the development of COVID-19 or if they were or suspect they have been in contact with any person - national or foreign - that they have presented the symptoms of said disease, urging them to accept and abide by the sanitary measures promoted by the National Government, maintaining quarantine and taking the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the virus.


The community in general is asked to refrain from generating panic or disinformation, since these acts of irresponsibility can also have legal consequences for those who commit them.
